Tohono O'odham Nation Cultural Center & Museum | Sells, Arizona

The Tohono O'odham Nation began the construction of a community center in 2006 that opened
in the spring of 2007. It acts as an archive, museum and cultural showcase and the exhibit space
in the center provides for showcasing tribal arts and crafts. Tribal elders also have a place to
record native oral histories.

The images during the construction phase were shot in October, 2006. Attending that shoot of the
facility given by then Curator Eric Kaldahl were Sue South, Garry Forger and Wayne Brent of the
University of Arizona's Learning and Teaching Center. The shoot of the finished project took place
in December, 2007, with Garry Forger in attendance.

The design firm for the building is Durrant Architects, and the exhibit gallery is designed by
Ganymede Design Group.
